Only a threat to their existence can change the routine of the inhabitants of the small village of Javé. The announcement that the city may disappear under the waters of a huge hydroelectric power plant makes the community adopt a daring strategy: to prepare a document recounting all the great heroic events of its history, so that Javé may escape destruction. As most residents are illiterate, the first task is to find someone who can write the stories.
