Gullane was highlighted in Variety during the Berlin Film Festival, unveiling a lineup of future releases and new projects from Gullane+, the group's distribution arm. The announced productions promise to engage audiences with compelling stories and high-quality filmmaking.
Among Gullane+’s projects, the documentary Milton Bituca Nascimento, produced by Gullane and directed by Flavia Moraes, follows the farewell tour of the iconic singer and includes exclusive interviews with Quincy Jones and Spike Lee.
Another highlight is Escola Sem Muros, directed by Cao Hamburger and based on the inspiring story of Braz Nogueira, an educator who transformed the education system in Heliópolis.
Additionally, Gullane+ is restoring the classic Iracema, reaffirming its commitment to preserving Brazilian cinema. Other upcoming projects, such as A Queda do Céu and 3 Obás, also promise to captivate audiences.
Among Gullane’s productions, New Cancun, directed by Sandra Kogut, follows the acclaimed Three Summers and features Regina Casé in the cast. The project is co-produced by Globo Filmes, Gloria Filmes, and TeleCine.
Another highly anticipated release is Paulo Freire, a biographical film directed by Cao Hamburger and co-written by Marcelo Gomes, which will be filmed in Brazil, Chile, and New York.
Technically Sweet, directed by André Ristum, brings to life an unpublished screenplay by Michelangelo Antonioni, considered the final part of the Escape From Civilization trilogy, alongside the classics Blow-Up and The Passenger.
The documentary Ayrton Senna: Pure Racing, directed by Pedro Yytoá, will explore the legendary driver’s career before Formula 1, featuring exclusive interviews. The production is financed by Gullane, with Claro as a sponsor and Lionsgate as an investor, and will be distributed by Gullane+.
